Caty incorporates several theoretical paradigms in her work but has come to believe that the core to effective therapy is a strong and trusting relationship between therapist and client.. Within this working relationship the client can explore deeper issues and learn new ways of coping, living more abundantly and peacefully. She believes that people have within them the ability to heal but that finding that inner power is sometimes limited by trauma, grief, stress, and dysfunctional coping skills. She utilizes a Person Centered approach to help her clients find their inner truth. Through unconditional positive regard Caty helps guide her clients in self discovery and healing. She is also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and EMDR which assist clients in changing core self beliefs that are keeping them stuck in dysfunctional patterns of behavior.
Caty has lived in Northern California for her entire life and has made Redding her home for the past 18 years. She is married and has two active and beautiful children! She is also committed to public service and her community. She is a past graduate of Leadership Redding.
