A Message from your RRC-CAMFT President
Happy 2021 RRC-CAMFT Members & Returning Members,
Welcome to the 27th year of RCC-CAMFT. That's right! Our chapter was founded in September of 1994. The 2021 Board looks forward to carrying on the traditions that RCC-CAMFT is known for and we are excited to provide excellent training opportunities this year.
The pandemic has been difficult for so many of us, and I know we have all experienced an increase in stress and mental health crisis over the last year. The demand for services feels greater than ever in our community. I hope you are all remaining healthy and emotionally well during this unprecedented time.
As difficult as it has been, we have found a silver lining to the pandemic. Because our trainings will continue to be held through Zoom, we have been able to pursue known experts in our field to present to our local chapter here in Redding.
We are excited to announce that Debi Jenkkins Frankle, LMFT, form the Calabasas Counseling and Grief Center will be presenting in January.
January 28th @ 5:30 p.m. via Zoom
The Surreal World of Surviving in a Pandemic: It's impact on our clients, ourselves and how to provide care and sanity for all.
Please watch your email for additional information on our first training.....
Also, it may be time to renew your membership. Please log in to the website where you can update your information, renew your membership, and include yourself in our therapist directory. Our therapist directory is one of the benefits of membership and is often used by other professionals in the community to find mental health referrals. Please follow this link to our website... http://www.rrccamft.org. If you have any questions in regards to membership please contact Danni Mason, LMFT at firstname.lastname@example.org.
CHANGES: As the pandemic continues, we have made some temporary changes to our "monthly meeting" schedule. We are very aware that "one more Zoom meeting" can be very taxing for our members and our board right now; therefore, we will hold our "monthly meetings" on an every other month basis until we are able to meet in person. Training times and schedules may vary, so we will send training information as early and often as possible to keep our members informed. We also plan to provide networking events if we are able to meet in person before December.
I am looking forward to working with our new board and continuing RCC-CAMFT's traditions in the upcoming year. If you have any interest in a leadership position with our board, please contact me at email@example.com.
Shauna Havlina, LMFT
President, RCC-CAMFT 2021
